Day 1 Sept 8th

My 1st day was off to a bit of a rough start since I haven’t worked out in 2 weeks, and didn’t have any food in the fridge! I had a cup of coffee and headed to the gym for a 9:30AM WOD.  Then headed straight to the grocery store!

Sat 9/8 WOD

A: Sumo Deadlift 6-4-2-6-4-2 = 75/95/115/115/125/145 lbs

B: 4 sets of:

12 DB Squat Cleans – 20lbs

400m run

rest 3 minutes

 Food for the Day

Skipped breakfast, but did manage a post recovery drink of ISO-X.. one scoop and 8oz of cold water

Snack: little piece of lemon salmon from the deli case @ wholefoods

lunch : shake of whey protein, berries & coconut milk (from the can)

Snack:  pulled the leg of my friends chicken

Dinner: Salmon (probably more than I should have eaten, but it was so yummy!) with Kale, and a delicious tomato avocado salad

After Dinner I had a little square of chocolate, 85% cacao to satisfy my late night sugar craving. Which is when I’d normally have a glass of red wine.  Day 1 was actually not so bad, went over much easier than then I had anticipated. I stocked up on loads of meat from wholefoods, then cruised over to Trader Joes for fruits & veggies. Having so many options in the fridge and cupboards keeps it easy. I’m excited for the next 8 weeks!
